Calmness in the Midst of a Cyclone

Everyone makes the same journey, from God to God
Where do we find calmness in the midst of a cyclone?
I wouldn’t say I was known for remaining calm. I was more known for being a kamikaze, racing into situations most others avoid.
Nonetheless, we, especially parents and teachers, are tasked with remaining calm in the face of this developing cyclone we read and hear about.
What is the essence of calmness?
For me, the essence of calmness is an unruffled, passive mind. The essence of an unruffled, passive mind is trust in the Mother/Father One.
You know I try to relate everything back to the overarching purpose of life. If it aligns with the purpose of life, I’m good with it.
That purpose is to know who we truly are. Surprise! Surprise! The tree is matter, mater, Mother! The rock. The ocean. The sky.
And so are you and me.
I am myself God, as are you. I don’t need God delivered to me or for me to be delivered to God. I don’t need to accumulate God in my divine bank account. I AM ALREADY GOD, as are you. And we’ve been so from the very beginning.
And when I say that, if ever I’m to feel calm, I feel calm now.
Whatever befalls us, I believe angels will lift us out of this body before we suffer and take us back Home. Let’s compare notes later, over a cup of nectar … I mean, love.
And what will our round trip have been like? I look at my coffee. Someone grew those beans. Someone picked and cured them. Someone ground them. And I brewed and drank the coffee. Thanks be to all.
It’s just like our round trip, from the Tree of God, picked by the Hand of God, ground down in the Mother’s school of experience, and finally, as the sages have said, brewed and reunited in the Heart of God … and Home again.
“I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.” (1)
From God to God: That’s the Plan. Knowing that and trusting it, I believe, is the source of and key to calmness.
