To Help Quiet the Nerves

To Help Quiet the Nerves

By Steve Beckow

Posted on August 23, 2024

When I grew up, there was a lot of fakery and violence. People were back from the war. The women were sporting their finest; the men were doing their dance. People were intent on enjoying themselves, spending money, raising a family, getting ahead.

If conflict arose, may the strongest win. Who shouts the loudest? Who can deliver that zinger? And then everyone rehearses their performance with whomever will listen the next day. Life was so very ordinary and contrived.

And, as I said elsewhere, I’d lie in bed and listen to the neighbors’ kids getting whalloped. The next generation….

We were just present, but with all our baggage. We didn’t know about core issues (or vasanas) that run us. We didn’t know how to listen. We were into positive thinking, “sticking it out” and “pushing through” to the end.

We’d fought for democracy and now wanted the benefits. And we got them. Unions. “Permanent” employment. Advancement in a vertical company. Pay raises. Vacations with pay. Benefits. Pensions. Maternity leave. You name it. We had it. Or so it seemed.

I didn’t really come on here today to write about what happened. We know what happened.

The recession of 1982 kicked off the automation of the worker. It saw a “jobless” recovery. I believe that recession was an exercise in taming the worker by creating a buyer’s market in labor, cutting labor costs, shackling the worker to debt-based financing, etc.

Well, look around you. Where is a vertical company – that is, one with lots of levels you can advance into? How many youths are underemployed, if employed at all? Who has even heard of a pension?

***

Nevertheless, although they’ve seemed to have the upper hand until now, our rule by the folks who brought us this rush to the bottom is effectively over.

The militaries of the world are coordinating their actions to see that the people who gave us unemployment, debt-based financing, and now censorship and depopulation are totally removed from power.

Not like after World War 2 and Operation Paperclip. There’ll be no hideouts this time.

The amount of coordination, determination, and courage this operation must have taken is beyond my imagination. Just the other day I posted the Federation of Light’s estimation of the white-hat/Q plan, which is one of the few comments from the Company of Heaven I’ve seen.

Let me quote it at length because the endorsement may help to quiet the nerves:

“The ‘Good Guys’ are a large component of an even larger component, of an even larger component … that are of, not only the Highest intelligence, but, of the Highest Light of Consciousness.

“The Souls involved were meticulously chosen and groomed for the greatest task that they were to be assigned.

“We have spoken before of Souls on and off Planet that have devised and created a Plan that is so intricate, so incredibly complicated, so brilliant that it cannot fail.

“All meetings and gatherings that have taken place regarding the bringing down of the so-called ‘elite’, have been underway for many years. The planning of this Victory has involved masterminds of the Highest calibre in order for The Plan to be carried out in such a way that … as it falls into place … the Brilliance of it is unsurpassed, without question.

“You see, Blossom, it has had to ‘appear’ as if your World is run by those of great darkness … and indeed, for so long this has been the case. Yet, projects have been implemented, whereby infiltration has [proven successful]….

“Those who think they have it all in place have in actual fact … been useful in providing the foundations of what is required for the Plan to move forward … in the right direction.” (1)

That’s high praise. Apparently, from a very high dimension. And reassuring as well.

It helps to remind me, as we get news of fresh disasters, that the Light has already won and we’re taking care of the leftover details.

Some details. Hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, urban violence, government repression, crooked courts, GMO, attacks on food-production plants, chemtrails, on and on.

But, as the FoL says: “WHATEVER IS TO OCCUR … YOU WILL GET THROUGH IT.” (2)

I know it’s all a matter of trust. So what am I waiting for before I trust?

As I Explore the Path of Loving Kindness…

As I Explore the Path of Loving Kindness…

By Steve Beckow

Again the mysteries of the assassination attempt unfold. The Secret Service ignoring warnings of the shooter’s presence, them ordering the white-hat sniper not to shoot the deep-state shooter, trajectories, timing, etc. Questions arise on every side.

While all this is going on, here I am exploring the path of loving kindness.

I’ve followed the path of orneriness most of my life. On this new path, I’m challenged again and again and again. And it’s meeting those challenges that I’d like to talk about.

I’m challenged on two fronts: The first is by what I’ve called vasanas, after Ramana Maharshi, (1) which Linda Dillon calls “core issues,” equivalent in meaning.

These comprise the mental/emotional complex of memories and energies that gets triggered whenever we feel we’re getting into the same threatening situation again.

They’re what are triggered when we blow our tops, go nuclear, go insane with anger, etc.

One of the important effects of raising awareness of our vasanas is to get that what we’re angry about and who we’re angry at has little to do with the person in front of us and more to do with our parents or siblings, teachers or other influential figures, when we were young.

We can process or invoke the universal laws for divine aid in removing our vasanas. (2) It used to take years; I now believe it can be done much quicker.

The second challenge on the path of loving-kindness is the automatic behavior patterns that I fall into as a result of the conclusions and decisions I reached, which then became the foundation of the vasana.

If we didn’t reach a conclusion (no one loves me, I don’t rate, you can’t trust anyone), I wouldn’t reach a decision (I won’t love anyone, I don’t need people, I won’t trust anyone). There’d be no problem. Go on to the next article.

If I didn’t reach a decision, there in all likelihood would not be a lingering vasana.

I won’t love anyone becomes coldness and rigidity. I don’t need anyone becomes automatic depression. I don’t trust anyone becomes automatic suspiciousness. And we go from mood to mood depending on what has gotten triggered … now.

Just to remind us where all this is going: It’s going round and round and round, as the graphic illustrates:

The simple answer to the rampage we go on and to the vasana itself is to simply stop. Listen to the vasana but don’t act on it.

Don’t participate in your upset; observe it. Let go of any thought that prompts you to leave the observer position and become the participant.

Anything that feels resentful, hateful, angry can be assumed to come from the vasana. Any automatic pattern can be assumed to come from this or another vasana. Just let it go as you would a piece of luggage.

Anything that feels loving, kind, compassionate can be assumed to have come from your heart. Enjoy it. Nurture it. Fan its embers.

As Stephen Levine says, at first we cultivate it; later it cultivates us.

That’s my agenda for the next while: Just observe the barriers to loving-kindness as they arise and nurture the incipient divine states/feelings. (3) The white hats have things in hand, even an assassination attempt, apparently. My worry is strictly optional.

However, I can contribute, at this time, by raising my own vibration, with the aim of taking the whole world out of the reach of darkness and evil.

At the same time, I honor the courage and sacrifice of those who go into harm’s way to rescue our oppressed and exploited. Nothing I do should be interpreted as wanting to take the attention and resources away from them.

(1) See “Vasanas (Latent Tendencies)” at https://goldengaiadb.com/index.php?title=V#Vasanas_.28Latent_Tendencies.29 and following.

I follow Sri Ramana’s practise in using the term “vasana” because I’d like to link up western trauma teachings with eastern vasana teachings.

(2) On processing a vasana, see “How to Handle Unwanted Feelings: The Upset Clearing Process” in Vasanas: Preparing For Ascension by Clearing Old Issues at https://goldenageofgaia.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Vasanas-Preparing-for-Ascension-R16.pdf

(3) A divine state may be experienced as a wisp of feeling that skoots across the desktop of our mind. But the fundamental experiential difference between a feeling and a divine state is that the former is experienced as happening within our field of awareness whereas the latter is experienced as something we’re immersed in.  Our hearts hurt, but we’re immersed in love, bliss, ecstasy, joy, etc.

The Felt Need to Be Right

The Felt Need to Be Right

By Steve Beckow

Posted on July 14, 2024

As I transition from ogre to loving kindness, I’m watching myself, to spot any impediments.

And I just saw myself spark at such a very minor, everyday matter that I feel embarrassed to mention it. OK, OK.  It was implied that I was not right in saying what time I got home.

Right away I rolled out the heavy guns and looked around me to see who was the transgressor, who had implied I was wrong?

As I waited to identify the threat, I began reviewing my favorite justifications, excuses, and denials just in case they were needed.

So simple a matter, huh? The stuff of wars.

One accusation of being wrong is equal to another. I’d start World War III over a false accusation of getting the time wrong as easily as I would over Pearl Harbor.

Vasanas (core issues) are insane. The way the mind works can be insane. I’m glad I changed my vote. I no longer have to occupy that ornery territory.

So this is what I’m doing: I’m either getting the experience of loving kindness or getting the barrier. If the barrier, I’m processing it. (1)

Keep in mind that loving kindness is already there. It’s simply buried under our personal load of resentments, complaints, judgments, etc.

As I saw at Xenia on Sept. 17, 2018, my purity and innocence are native to me. They exist at a place that can be thought of as way under or way deeper than the vasanas (core issues), something I saw in meditation on that day. (2)

I’m not seeking something outside myself. Like everything else good, I suspect I’ll find it in my heart.

Thus, for me, the work is to experience through to completion – or eliminate – the obstacles, the vasanas and the independently-existing automatic behavior patterns that the vasanas give rise to.

Underneath I’m sure I’ll find that the true Me is already wholly loving and kind.

Never Let Your Guard Down

Never Let Your Guard Down

By Steve Beckow

A graphic from my Dad’s “storyboard” or life story

Growing up under a parent who served in the Second World War offered its challenges to me. Discipline was the back of the hand. I may as well have been in boot camp.

I was a lazy no-good good-for-nothing because I liked to read rather than swim and golf and play tennis.

At this very moment, I’m in the midst of a most welcome and long-overdue breakthrough around my relationship with my Dad.

Until now I’ve always considered that I needed to love my Dad. Take him with me. Talk to him.

I could never “get” this. I didn’t feel love for my Dad. It was definitely a bridge too far.

And then, this morning, in the shower – out of reach of my computer! – I got it. I didn’t need to love my Dad. What I do best is to listen. I can listen to my Dad.

I’m not saying Dad talked. The words formed in my mind. And the pictures.

I saw a fireman in the hold of a merchant vessel in World War 2, sailing the Atlantic knowing full well that, if a torpedo hit, it’d be highly unlikely that anyone in the bowels of the ship would survive.

Dad was all about survival. And conspicuous survival was even better. I get why he was that way now.  “Look at me! I made it. Despite the odds. Despite no one believing in me.”

His Dad was violent with him.  He did a “storyboard” of his life once and one of the graphics was a frightened child saying, “What did I do now?” (See graphic above.) That said a lot.

His Dad finally kicked him out, probably as his own dad had done to Grandpa. (1) My Dad rode the rails, spent a night in jail, and then was back on the rails again. He worked his way up from what he probably considered to be nothing to owner of a company and moderately wealthy. He’d show his Dad that he was a worthy man, not like his youngest, the no-good good-for-nothing who just lay around reading books.

I did not want to be a father because the only movies I had in my head were movies of my own father. And who wanted to pass those along? I was determined to stop what Michael called “legacy behavior.” The way to do that was to not be a father.

Wow. I feel the first degree of release on this one – the truth will set you free. I’m still aware that there’s more holding in my solar plexus, my hara center.

Dad’s favorite sayings were things like “you have to keep your guard up. Never let your guard down. You can’t trust anyone,” etc.  Our family may as well have been on a wartime footing long, long after the war was over.

Yes, this is the appropriate way for me to handle this persistent vasana of father hatred. I have no trouble listening.  Probably when I hear more of his situation, the love may start to trickle.

Just a little. … Never let your guard down….

Footnotes

(1) Because Grandpa left home and migrated from Russia to America. It may have been opportunity or he may have been kicked out of the nest.

An Arrow in Flight

An Arrow in Flight

By Steve Beckow

My twin flame, Annastara, once described part of my mission as a writer this way:

Annastara: One of the things that you do and which you will be doing is of course looking in the nooks and crannies, into the corners of your being because, as you do that, you also allow others to.

There is a curiosity inside of you to examine those quarters that have really gone unexplored, not really because of fear but simply because it wasn’t time.

One of the things that you have done is you have paid attention to your here and now, to your time and space, rather than getting lost in either the future or the past. (1)

That resonates with me. And, as I’ll get to in a minute, this exploration centered on the question “Who am I?” has been one of the few avenues in my life that has never stopped expanding.  (2) Clearly this is part of my mission.

So, looking into a nook and cranny:

It happened that I found myself mad this morning – a kind of anger that rose up like an exploding volcano, seemingly from nowhere. It was so shocking that I didn’t even notice when it stopped.  Things just stood still at the moment of that sudden, inner explosion.

Because I follow the path of awareness, I asked myself where did that flash of anger come from? And I saw myself hearing “No!” from my Dad for purely arbitrary reasons. No subtlety to the man. What you saw was what you got and it could very well be the back of his hand.

Classic vasana or core issue: Now, when I feel someone is saying “No!” to me when I don’t want them to, I feel this flash of anger.  (3)

And, as I look, I see that my story is: Having the door shut on me again and again has  been a theme throughout my life, with a few brilliant exceptions. Or people not understanding a word I’m saying. And me debating whether I should cap it or keep on going.

I feel like a vine pushing up through concrete.

But that’s probably what it took to trigger all this, right? Pull the bow back farther and the arrow travels farther?

This arrow has been in the air for an awfully-long time and doesn’t plan to land any time soon.  In fact, this arrow doesn’t plan to land (period). Instead it plans to ascend through the dimensions, with you.

A never-ending story and all that’s left for me to decide is how I want to travel – miserably or lovingly.

No Issues Behind Door No. 3

No Issues Behind Door No. 3

By Steve Beckow

Posted on June 26, 2024

Door No. 1, the Intellectual

There are three doors we can go through to encounter Reality.

Door No. 1 is the intellectual door; Door No. 2, the emotional and in other ways experiential; and Door No. 3,  the realizational.

Do I have any attachment to anything that might block my full intellectual grasp that I and everyone/everything else is God?  None behind Door No. 1. At an intellectual level, I can get that we’re all God.

Door No. 2, the Emotional/Experiential

When I open the door of my emotions, Door No. 2, I open onto a scene of absolute chaos – all kinds of feelings clamoring to be heard.  I see issues and resentments by the bushelful.

Lots and lots of obstacles at the emotional level. I call them vasanas; Linda Dillon calls them core issues.  (1)  I quickly close Door No. 2.

Short of Ascension or complete karmic forgiveness, a remainder of my vasanas, evidently, will travel with me.  (2)

I will not escape the necessity of dealing with the emotional turmoil, short of baptism in the River Jordan; that is, immersion in the river and Ocean of Love that Ascension to a higher dimension brings.

I think Archangel Michael knew this and was describing the situation in a passage I’d like to quote at length. I may feel the need to interject a comment or two.

Steve Beckow: So will the tsunami of love erase our vasanas or not?

Archangel Michael: Think of it this way. You can cling to your vasanas, should you wish to, or your false belief systems, but it will make you move like sludge through the Ascension process. So this is your opportunity to cleanse. You can think of it as moving you to Vasana Lite.

[In other words, some vasanas will persist past this present cleansing.]

Now, what do I mean by this? There are times when people revert. If something in their life goes awry, people revert to whatever their issue or their belief system is. Their core issue, their vasana — “Love never works for me,” “I never get what I need,” “The world is a harsh place,” “Struggle is reality.” And none of this is true. So this will wash away.

Now, can you reclaim it? It will be sitting on the beach.

[“Sitting on the beach” because they’re not completely removed as long as we vibrate Third or Fourth Dimensionally. Only higher-dimensional love is powerful enough to burn these seeds of future action to a crisp, causing their permanent disappearance.]

Would you wish to reclaim it? No. Now that does not mean that you are home free, yet. We are talking about the tsunami.

[Not Ascension itself, but the Tsunami of Love, a prelude to it.]

There will still be some imprints, so there will be further raising of the vibration.

[Imprints or traces remain and we can revert to the patterns they offer us. A further raising of the vibration – in Ascension – will be needed.]

But many of you have already been doing this clearing.

So this is an extra, extra, extra clearing, but it is also imbedding in you, yes, even in the constant movement, it is imbedding in you, throughout that wave that moves through you – think of it as giving electrolytes to yourselves – it is imbedding in you the molecules, the atoms, the subatomic fibers of love that say to you, “This is what I want. And I don’t really want that old garbage, so I’m willing to let it go.” (3)

I know exactly what he means here.

Door No. 3, the Realizational

When we go beyond Door No. 3, the realizational door, we experience higher-dimensional love and anything else tastes insipid. We want more of it.

If we ascend, then we know what it feels like to be vasana-free. To be immersed in higher-dimensional love is to be free of all issues and upsets. (4)

We’re at last enabled to turn our back on earlier unworkable patterns of behavior that no longer tempt us and make the changes love requires.

One can’t be harming others and expect to experience higher-dimensional love.  The heart’s door would be closed; no experience of love there.

In the last analysis, we have an enlightenment partnership with our guides,Higher Self,  archangel, and the Mother. If we surrender all sense of timing to them, in my view, we’ll have taken the best preparatory step we can take.

Since the bliss gets deeper and more revivifying the higher we go, we can expect joy along the route and not just at the destination.

Footnotes

(1) Linda once described them as matters we’d rather die than reveal. That fits. Sages called vasanas the seeds of future action. I define them as mental/emotional clusters of traumatic memories that channel our future responses to challenges.

(2) Ramana Maharshi described one process that might take place to destroy the vasanas.  He’s describing what we today would call “Ascension,” beyond the seven chakras. Our path to it is more gradual than sudden.

“As a heated iron-ball appears as a ball of fire, this (body) heated in the fire of Self-enquiry shines as the Self.

The old vasanas pertaining to the body, (mind and so on) are destroyed. Being free from body-consciousness one never has the sense of doership.

Since such a one has no sense of doership, his karma, it is said, is completely destroyed. As nothing but the Self exists, no doubts arise for him.

Once the knot is cut, one is never bound again. This is considered the state of power supreme and peace supreme. (Sri Ramana Maharshi in Vasistha Ganapathi, ed., Sri Ramana Gita. Tiruvannamalai: Sri Ramanashramam, 1977, 49-55.)

The fact that most spiritual teachers have only experienced Brahmajnana or seventh-chakra enlightenment and therefore have not destroyed all their vasanas explains what passed for “crazy wisdom” in the Sixties and Seventies. Among people who believed they had achieved moksha or liberation when they had not, they regarded themselves as cleanly-motivated when many were simply responding to their remaining vasanas.

The Mother explains that Sahaja is indeed Ascension:

Steve Beckow: I’m trying to understand what level of enlightenment Ascension corresponds to and I think it’s beyond the normal seventh-chakra enlightenment. I think it is what is called — and I’ll make this clear to readers — sahaja samadhi. Am I correct?

Divine Mother: Yes, it is beyond what you think of [as being] with your seven chakras. … We have emerged from the Third-Dimensional realm, which is that reference point for the [seven] chakra system, into the new. So yes, you are correct, in this question and in this statement.  (“The Divine Mother: Come to Me as I Come to You – Part 1/2,” Oct. 17, 2012, at http://goldenageofgaia.com/2012/10/17/the-divine-mother-come-to-me-as-i-come-to-you-part-12/.)

We have emerged, washed clean of our vasanas by higher-dimensional love.

The “I” That Always Exists

The “I” That Always Exists

By Steve Beckow

Posted on June 3, 2024

Credit: Pinterest.se

I’m having a debate with myself around the “I” that always exists.

I know from being outside my body that that “I” continues to exist whereas the body does not.

If I am that “I” that always exists, then why don’t I act like it? What is there to fear? Why am I hesitant, drawn back, afraid?

Vasanas, or core issues, or traumatic memories supply the answer. (1)

But if my core issues get triggered, and the “I” always exists, why do I listen to my mind on that or any other subject? There is no absolute need to. And how much does it know, really? (2)

I just got the signal “yes” I’ve arranged with Michael and a separate one I arranged with the Mother.  They both went off together.

If I will continue to exist whatever the mind does or does not do, why do I listen to it so attentively?

I have to factor out the need for a writer to rehearse what they’re writing.

How might my life improve or degrade if I stop listening to the mind? I’ll have to see.

This is a lifelong conversation with my very best friend I’m giving up. For what it will produce….

Not forever, my friend.

The Change-over from Negative to Positive

The Change-over from Negative to Positive

By Steve Beckow

Posted on May 18, 2024

As I emerge, ascend, and integrate, I find myself navigating the change-over from negative (the troll under the bridge) to positive.

Let me say a word about “being positive” at the get-go.

I’m aware of the objections to “being positive.” I was there myself. I postponed making a needed transition in my life for decades out of not wanting to “be positive.”

One is that “being positive” as a rule flies in the face of reality. We live in a world where negativity exists, where a large percent of the population lives below the poverty line, many homeless, many without access to clean drinking water, etc.

There’s nothing positive about these conditions to those who have to endure them. And being positive in the face of it seems insensitive, self-focused.

Moreover, if we look more generally, I think we’ll see that, if we mandate any line of behavior, we run into trouble with the exceptions. If the exceptions are major, we talk about being abused, oppressed, and exploited.

Werner Erhard warned against taking a side like “the positive.” If we decide ahead of time how we’ll be, no matter how it is, we’ve “de-cided” the matter. We have, linguistically speaking, “killed the alternative.” Transformation usually does not show up in a closed space.

Another objection: In social discourse we talk about positive people as “Pollyannas,” folks who were always looking on the bright side of life, implying naive people or a degree of empty-headedness or compliance.

Now of course I get to see that the Pollyannas take the prize. I’m now aware that they were pioneers who were often unfairly disparaged, fuelled by a source I knew nothing of.

That having been said, I’d like to discuss Monday a very simple conceptual adjustment or tool to help us make the change-over if we – staring the Reval in the face – are needing to do so.

The Growth Movement Meets Business…. – 2

The Growth Movement Meets Business…. – Part 2/2

By Steve Beckow

Villain or saint?

(Concluded from Part 1, yesterday.)

I’ve never forgotten what psychotherapist and workshop leader John Enright used to say, that you can’t get from Victim to Hero except by going through Saint or Villain. (1)

Victims don’t get what they want and are unhappy.

Saints don’t get what they want and are happy.

Villains get what they want but are unhappy.

Heroes get what they want and are happy.

You know the moral of the story: “The way out of Villain or Saint is to accept where you are. Do it and dig it and, five minutes later, you’re a Hero.” (1)

Very clever.

As we go higher and higher in vibration the roles are being sorted out.

Villains won’t reach Hero this lifetime. Saints will reach much higher than that.

I’m feeling drawn to the latter path.

***

Meanwhile, the split between a private and a public self must be the most challenging to heal satisfactorily.

On the one hand, a house divided against itself cannot stand and this split is a definite division. Moreover, I’ve always valued transparency over hiding one’s cards.

On the other hand, boundaries can be a good thing at times, especially for a writer.

I’m not ready to go in the direction of full resolution of public/private self just yet – full transparency.  Due diligence means looking first for unintended consequences and hidden pitfalls. Like the impact on the necessary keeping of secrets.

However, I acknowledge being drawn to the idea.  It would be a definite benefit to a CEO.

I’ll need to “be with it” for a while…. And then we’ll see….

The growth movement meets business….

The Growth Movement Meets Business…. – 1

The Growth Movement Meets Business…. – Part 1/2

By Steve Beckow

Don’t you wish.

So much is being brought up to awareness at this time. And I know it’s the same for others I speak to.

There are some absolutely critical splits and dissociations that I’m finding raised in me. Forgive me if this post is a mite long, but I’m working this one out in the moment.

One critical split is the dissociation I went through for fifty years, but which lingers a little in me, and perhaps in all of us. That’s the disconnect between what I’d call a public and a private self.

I heard it recently called a “front face” and a “back face” by a survivor of Satanic ritual abuse. It’s also called onstage and offstage behavior.  The one face we show to others and the other we show only to ourselves.

Unless we choose to “let our hair down,” “let it all hang out,” etc.

For me, I was so deeply partitioned in two… well, I’m getting ahead of myself.

I had my personality shattered at age 7 when my Dad shouted at me from inches away from my face. I used to call myself the Humpty Dumpty Man; it took fifty years to put Humpty together again. (1)

My public and private face did not know each other existed, so deeply buried was I.

When in 1986 my girlfriend said I had the profile of an abused child, the two rose up to consciousness together and metaphorically said to each other at the same moment: Who are you?

I exploded in anger for two weeks, having now seen what was going on.  It took twenty more years to dig myself out of that walled-off self and heal the split.

I still have a gap between my onstage and offstage behavior. In private I eat like a caveman and wear jeans, a T-shirt, and a hoodie 365 year round. I still prefer the laid-back lifestyle, wherever possible. But these are all tangential matters.

In more general terms, a discussion I had with Michael a long time ago weighs with me in this area.  Regarding an errant lightworker, he said you cannot serve the Divine Mother and engage in that kind of behavior (I believe it was the use of foul language).

He made no onstage/offstage distinctions. Cannot serve the Mother and depart from ethics, morality, conscience, heart consciousness (period).

That one got in.

Don’t forget that we are the Mother; we are the Father. If God is everything then you and I must also be God. Therefore God’s Plan is my plan. Everything that happened to me was part of that Plan and has brought me to here.

(Concluded in Part 2, tomorrow.)

Finding a Way Out of Humiliation

Finding a Way Out of Humiliation

By Steve Beckow

Posted on April 26, 2024

Two things I’m noticing seem to indicate where we are … OK, OK, I am … with the rising energies.

One is that people around me are starting to say they can’t remember why they went into the kitchen. Or what they were going to say.

All of a sudden I’m not alone in having a poor memory. I don’t feel so isolated!

All of a sudden the pressure on me is gone. And that’s a relief. I don’t wish the condition on anyone, but adding guilt to it is not helpful.

I may be attracting everyone with an over-developed forgetery, by the law of attraction. Whatever it is, in my view, it’ll all disappear with med beds or by us simply entering higher sub-planes through our gradual Ascension. So I personally am not worried.

The second thing that I’m noticing is that one vasana (core issue) after another is going off.  (1) I feel like the toothpaste tube being squeezed for the last bit.

Always I have the choice of processing the vasanas or projecting my anger onto the person before me, who is almost never the real “offender.”

But the cost of projecting them onto others is itself getting higher and higher. It feels as if it’s magnified.

I’m pretty sure I’m feeling more sensitively now than, say, five years ago, and that may explain why I feel the lower-vibrational states more keenly.

I also recall SaLuSa some years ago saying that our karma will be returning faster and faster as we progress. That’s a good alternate description of the circumstance.

The cost of not going with the flow towards the divine qualities and virtues is becoming tangible. My reactions to even small white lies is reaching the point of unpleasantness. The push towards change is becoming unmistakable.

I accepted that the path was strait and narrow, but I didn’t suspect how strait and narrow it would become.

***

In line with the squeeze of the rising energies, I’ve stayed with my minor disagreement with the restaurant manager for more than a week now, wringing the juice out of it, and another, deeper layer arose this morning.

It concerned an incident on a Toronto subway in around 1973. Not so strangely, when I studied karate, I found myself getting into one fight after another. How did that work? I wondered.

A man was bothering passengers and then he’d move on. When he came to me, I ignored him and he went away.

Nowadays I’d say I was guided back then not to engage. But back then I saw myself as having walked away. And it bothered me.

The same way I felt after that is the way I’m now feeling: Humiliated. I now had a name for the feeling that so far had been going on in the background of unconscious awareness.

That ancient vasana or core issue was triggered by this current event. In my mind, I walked away from a fight.

If I were projecting, I’d blame my feelings on the other person: “You made me….” I’m going to walk through the alternative: Experience the resisted feeling to completion.

Jesus outlined this path in “The Third Way.” (2) I’m experiencing the resulting feeling of humiliation to the fullest so that it can pass in its own time and release me. Resist it and the two of us wrestle with each other forever. What we resist persists, Werner Erhard reminded us.

Immediately upon identifying the feeling as humiliation, I flash on a second humiliating event when I was asked on the spot (that is, without warning) to address the 50th reunion of my high school, as its former school president.

I discussed some of the things you and I talk about and how I was looking forward to our future. The hall was silent. I asked someone to speak for the group and was told that maybe this wasn’t the time to be discussing things like that.

How clumsy of me to think that we could talk about out there what we talk about in here. That lesson stung and has stayed with me.

Not yet. After the emergency broadcasts perhaps, when things probably will have changed.

Meanwhile, the people in my building think I’m crazy, apparently, because I talk about med beds.  So, yes, humiliation – it seems to go with the territory of seeking the new.

So, right at this moment, I’m feeling into humiliation.

What is this? The moment I began to extend my awareness and search for humiliation with my inner radar, I felt it for an instant and then it vanished.

Wow! All that resistance against feeling humiliation for all these years, and, when I opened to experience it, it vanished in an instant? (3)  I have to say that, in all my years processing vasanas, I’ve never seen an unpleasant feeling vanish that quickly upon being recognized, acknowledged, and experienced.

Write that down. I assert that that’s another indication of the impact of the rising lovelight energies.

But I’m not left there in peace for long. Very soon I detect yet another layer. This one is a young boy who was caught doing wrong and feels like his life is about to fall apart.

Stealing a chocolate bar. Stealing a can of rock candy. That’s about as bad as it ever got. But being caught felt like my life was over.

It discussing these incidents, it isn’t the disagreement that I’m pointing to. It’s what the incidents say – or what the ease of processing them says – about the lessening of density.  Processing the vasana seems quicker and easier. I’m now down to a very young buy stealing candy bars.

Now I’m down to a young baby in utero, hearing his parents arguing and saying to himself, “I don’t want to go out there.” This isn’t the first time I’ve had that memory. There isn’t a charge on it anymore.

Nothing wrong with my long-term memory!!!

I try on this feeling of despair and humiliation from my short career as a booster of chocolate bars, test it out, and see if it fits. Yes, there is resonance.

The way a young boy might feel being caught stealing candy bars is a puzzle piece that fits in the hole. One more puzzle piece restored. The picture should become clearer and clearer as the pieces are restored.

And I should feel more and more release at the same time. The truth will set me free.

I don’t need to figure it all out. If it resonates, that’s what I need to know. I can’t change events that have happened, but I can stop torturing myself. I can find a way out of  humiliation.

Footnotes

(1) I use the term “vasana,” which refers to the seeds of future action, instead of “core issues” because, desiring a cross-cultural spirituality, I’d like to hook up western trauma therapy with eastern spirituality. There the same subject is discussed as vasanas. Eastern sources like Ramana Maharshi add a spiritual dimension to the discussion that is often  lacking in western discussions. Western spirituality widens the scope of the discussion to take in “householders”; i.e., the general populace.

(3) This so reminds me of what psychotherapist John Enright said many years ago: “Unawareness leads to momentary relief and continuing pain; awareness leads to momentary pain and continuing relief.” (Awareness, Responsibility, and Communication Workshop, Cold Mountain Institute, January 20, 1979.)
